My third shoot with Kim and Alex took us outdoors to a beautiful local lake. The warm weather and sunshine inspired us to take things a step further and incorporate water into the shoot. After gathering reference images and agreeing on a visual style and mood, we were ready to get started.

We met at the lake and began with some dry portraits, exploring various scenic spots around the shore. These first shots gave us room to be creative, experimenting with different backgrounds and natural lighting. The black-and-white portraits of Alex turned out especially striking—they perfectly complement his look and expression.

Then it was time to get wet. We found a safe and accessible spot for entering the water, and Kim was the first to dive in—figuratively, of course. We played around with different ideas, but our favorite shots were the ones where only her face emerged from the water. The reflections and the interplay of light on the surface gave these images a magical, almost surreal quality.

To wrap up the day, we discussed future project ideas, including a year-long photo book series. This certainly won’t be our last shoot together. With outdoor season just beginning and plenty of ideas for indoor studio sessions as well, there’s much more to come from this creative trio.
